I think everyone will agree that to be “rich,” you need to have some amount of money. However, it’s common to hear stories about billionaires who aren’t happy in life. This tells us the amount of money you have in the bank doesn’t have to be excessive, perhaps more than enough to cover needs, with some extra for fun and traveling!
But being rich is also about experiencing and appreciating life. So many of us are living life on autopilot, floating mindlessly through the day or with our heads buried in our phones, instead of taking the time to hear the birds singing or celebrating even the smallest wins in life.
In fact, time is something else that we feel makes a person rich. For Kenji, it’s about having the freedom to utilize time the way he wants. That might mean going to a movie or a hike during the middle of a work week to avoid the crowds or the freedom to take off on vacation whenever you want.
We’ll delve into these topics (and more) in this episode of Rich Doc, Poor Doc!
