Have you ever felt like you’re not in control? You aren’t alone, and it’s okay to seek help! Popular personal finance blogger and coach Jimmy Turner of The Physician Philosopher joins us to discuss a variety of mindset topics and how coaching continues to help him daily in his business interests.
Can you really think your way out of a problem? Jimmy Turner of the Physician Philosopher did. Today, this popular personal finance blogger and coach joins us to discuss the relationship between thoughts, feelings, a variety of mindset topics, and the impact of coaching in his business.
Turner started a personal finance blog in 2017 about fighting physician burnout. Why? Because he realized his personal experience with burnout, anxiety, and depression wasn’t unique to him—and in fact, the stigma surrounding burnout for men could only be undone by talking about it.
And that work had to start with himself.
Now Turner is a life/financial coach who’s also created a personal finance curriculum at his alma mater, Wake Forest University. In his coaching, he focuses on the role of thoughts as the producer of feelings, actions, and results. Bottom line: changing your thoughts can produce very different results.
