This book is a landmark read for real estate investors. It’s great for people just getting started and for seasoned vets alike because it’s so chock-full of encouraging testimonials. It’s written in plain, straightforward English, but it contains a wealth of information.
At its core, it is a handbook that lays out the fundamental keys and principles of real estate investing. Gary Keller, who himself has decades of real estate investing experience, compiles the trade secrets of over 100 real estate investors. One hundred people who made one million dollars investing in real estate.
As the book says, “Anyone can do it, but not everyone will.”
Summary
The Millionaire Real Estate Investor is broken into 3 parts. Part 1, Charting the Course, covers how to get started and clears up what Keller calls “mythunderstandings” about real estate investing.
Part 2 breaks down the path to becoming a millionaire real estate investor into four stages. It starts with Think a Million, and then Buy a Million, Own a Million, and, finally, Receive a Million. It’s a sort of life cycle that unfolds slowly but that (obviously) yields high returns.
Part 3 is Staying on Top. This covers how to manage your real estate empire and (most of all) how to stay motivated and continue to build a real estate investing empire. The book ends with 21 success stories that will inspire you to keep going. Because if they can do it, so can you!
Our Major Takeaways
Why You Should Read It
One of the reasons Leti chose this book for us to read (in fact, it was the very first real estate investing book we read together) was that it wasn’t based on just one person’s experience but instead it was more rigorous in that it took into account multiple people’s perspectives.
This book will open your eyes to just how possible real estate investing is while still keeping things practical and informative. It’s a great read for anyone looking to get started, and it’s a good refresher for anyone who’s been at it for a while. This book isn’t just hearsay or theory; these are proven models that actual millionaire real estate investors have used.
We really like that this book focuses just as much on mindset as it does on strategy, since the two go hand in hand. It’s a roadmap for success and a testimony to the possibilities of real estate investing.
We highly recommend you get yourself a copy of The Millionaire Real Estate Investor. It’s a worthy investment!
